Rome was created around a simple belief: technology should help people continue meaningful real-world interactions, not replace them.
For most people, the moments that stay with us don't happen on a screen. They happen while living our lives: a conversation at a café, a smile on the train, someone you notice at a concert.
Yet many modern dating products encourage the opposite, rewarding endless swiping and carefully curated first impressions over genuine shared experiences.
The problem is that these encounters are easy to lose. Timing isn't always right, and once the moment has passed, there's rarely a respectful way to reconnect.
That's why we built Rome. Using privacy-first Bluetooth proximity and shared event attendance, Rome helps people rediscover those they've genuinely crossed paths with, creating an opportunity to reconnect after the moment has passed.
